Kamin Samuel started her professional career as the U.S. Navy’s first female African-American helicopter pilot. She transitioned to having several small businesses and then to corporate as a web developer at a computer electronics company. Kamin moved up quickly working for several organizations, even serving as Vice President of Online Merchandising and Vice President of Global Website Operations at a billion-dollar company.
This important conversation dives into her work on the film Courage to Thrive. In this uplifting and insightful interview Kamin discusses the life-giving lessons we can embrace - lessons she learned and refined through her film’s exploration of the incredible brokenness, breakdown, and impasse that three woman faced and grew threw to become powerful and successful women - shaping their communities and our world.
The film explores the lives of women who have been underserved, underestimated and underinvested in. These women share how they faced adversity, and rewrote their narratives, to step into new levels of leadership in their careers and in the lives in new ways that they never imagined.
