🎙️🇺🇸 The BMS Podcast #2 with Jane Stark 🇨🇦 | Dr WG Sutherland, DO and the cranial bowl

🎙️ Podcast episode description

🌎 Today's guest is Jane Stark. Jane is an osteopathic manual practitioner, a seminar and workshop leader, and a world renown osteopathic historiographer on the biographies of some of osteopathy’s early leading figures such as A.T. Still, J.M. Littlejohn, and most recently on William Garner Sutherland.   She is currently working a second book about his life. Jane’s first book, Journeyman, chronicled how Sutherland became an osteopath. The second book, yet to be named, will be about his life as an osteopath and his contributions to osteopathy.

🎯 Together, we’ll discuss key features of his life’s work, including the challenges he faced in bringing forth his cranial concept in the field of the healing arts, then dominated by biomedical medicine views, due in part to the Flexner Report of 1910 (Duffy T. The Flexner Report ― 100 Years Later. Yale J Biol Med 2011;84(3):269–276).
