I started as a 3D artist at age 13, when I found the software called Blender. I kept at it for years, slowly becoming a self-taught artist. At around age 16, I became obsessed with electronic music and soon experimental obscure sub-genres. I initially used LMMS and now Bitwig. Later in 2020, I got hooked on NFTs. My love for entrepreneurship, coding and math helped me glue all my passions into one singular identity - Blue Inversion. It has always been a personal struggle for me to fit into a well defined box. So I stopped trying to. The podcast is a public journal to record my evolution.

[ARCHIVED] Why I switched to Linux

In this episode, I talk about the time I finally decided to switch over  to Linux from Windows, for Blender. I am happy how today's artwork  turned out. It is also the first episode on Linux, which excites me as a  Linux hobbyist. Many more episodes on Linux to follow. Hope you enjoy  today's episode!

Artwork for this episode : "dissipate memories” | Personal Work

EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS:

x    The Linux Distro I use on my blender workstation & Why.

x    What I hated about Windows.

x    How Linux introduced me to OS-level scripting

x    My Blender + Linux experience.

NOTES:

I mention Linux Mint, Arch Linux and Ubuntu Studio among the Linux distros.

Blender (duh!) and Krita among the software mentioned.

Even Guardian wrote an article on the Windows update issue.

Thanks for listening,

-Sayan
