Planting Seed In A Dusty Field
We will all face challenging seasons in life. While we can’t control circumstances that are outside of our hands, we can control how we respond to the situation. That’s exactly what Isaac did when he was faced with difficult circumstances. He found himself in the middle of a famine, which likely meant there was a drought in the land. Yet God had given him a promise—and based on that promise, he planted seed in a dusty field. In that same year, God gave him a hundredfold increase!  That’s incredible! But it’s not the whole story. In that same season, the enemy kept stopping up his wells and contending for the ones his father had dug, as well as the new wells he had dug himself. But Isaac didn’t let that discourage him. Instead, he kept digging and redigging wells until the enemy finally gave up—and he was able to enjoy his wells in peace. Key Takeaways: We must exercise faith and plant seed, even in challenging times. We also have to fight for our personal wells—the things that give us life, clarity, and purpose. We need to invest in ourselves both spiritually and practically. In difficult seasons, don’t give up on personal growth or investing in yourself. Don’t quit praying. Don’t stop reading your Bible. Stay the course. Stay strong. Eventually, the storm will pass. Eventually, the clouds will part. Eventually, the harvest will come. Be encouraged and know that God has a wonderful plan for your life!
