This episode is brought to you by Redbull Amaphiko Academy, giving wings to entrepreneurs making a difference in their corner of the world. Meeting Abena Poku Awua reminded me that there is a business in everything. You just have to follow your gut and passion. I hope you feel inspired to make a difference in this world after this episode. About The Legacy Marketplace: The Legacy Marketplace aims to solve two problems: friction in the event planning process and increasing attention to reduce the environmental impact of our lives. The Legacy Marketplace aims to help businesses and consumers take relevant and impactful action on acting against climate change. It removes the friction in event planning, incentivising sustainable events that have minimal impact on the environment and that act as a catalyst for positive social change. Abena has worked in the sustainability sector for 15 years, her lightbulb moment came in 2016. She was frequently expected to organise events for my clients outside of my main responsibilities. She was also juggling a demanding job with trying to arrange various special occasions for my friends and family. The problem was there was not one place that you could go to compare the options and book there and then.. I LOVE it when you share your thoughts with me so please tell me what you think.. Life isn't a Sprint, it's a Marathon with Abraham Adeyemi
Life isn't a Sprint, It's a Marathon is a statement I can't stop thinking about since my conversation with Abraham Adeyemi - A writer, director and founder of Creative Blue Balls a production company. I left this conversation feeling energised and inspired and I hope you all do too!! Get your notebook out and get ready to be challenged and encouraged to accept no excuses when it comes to chasing your dreams. I LOVE it when you share your thoughts with me so please tell me what you think..
