Bridget Jones is now in her 50s and is dealing with a tough new reality. Her husband, Mark Darcy, who brought her so much joy in the last movie, has sadly died during a trip to Sudan. Alone once more, Bridget is stepping up as a single mom to her kids, Billy and Mabel. Her friends are rallying around her, and her old boss and on-again-off-again love, Daniel Cleaver, is dishing out his usual cheeky advice. But Bridget is really struggling to figure out this new single life. She decides to dive back into dating through those tricky apps and ends up matching with a younger guy named Roxster.
