Maya, played by Phoebe Dynevor, HuraWatch, is a young woman who was the primary caregiver for her mother for nine months and is profoundly impacted by her mother's recent passing. She and her sister Jess are taken aback to discover their long-absent father, Sam, at the burial. After the funeral, he makes an effort to get back in touch with Maya by offering her a position as a guide for wealthy clients at his Cairo real estate company.
