April Showers Pt 3/3 | Re-thinking Dark Times

Charlene and JoEllen, mother and daughter-in-love, have a vulnerable conversation addressing questions like, "Will depression go away on its own?", "Can depression be cured?" "When depression takes over, what does it feel like?" and so much more. We share some of our own darkest moments and what we did to re-think darkness.

What role does God play in darkness? Where does He go when it feels like He's not listening or near?

Religion has told some of us that God can have nothing to do with darkness, which is defined as wrong-doing or sin, and that idea has left us feeling alone during our own times of darkness and despair. We slip into feeling like we need to "fix" ourselves and "stop sinning" in order to get back into the presence of God and His light. In this conversation, we explore and attempt to de-bunk this idea!
