The World Series is over, and what a Series it was! The Dodgers stormed back from down 3-2 in the series and 4-1 in Game 7 to win in 11 innings. It was a Will Smith solo HR in the 11th and 2.2 shutout innings in relief from Yoshinobu Yamamoto a day after throwing 96 pitches that led the Dodgers to their second straight title and third since 2020. For the rest of us, it means the offseason can start in earnest as free agency begins Thursday. The Orioles have their new manager, inking former Cleveland Guardians Associate Manager Craig Albernaz as the 21st manager in franchise history. What's next for Birdland? Andrew Stetka joins Paul to discuss that and more on The Bat Around!

The Bat Around-June 29th, 2025
After losing of 2 of 3 to the Rangers, the Orioles bounced back to take 2 of 3 from the Rays, completing a .500 homestand before heading to Texas to take on the Rangers again in a 3-game series beginning tomorrow night. The bats have stepped it up this month, but Tomoyuki Sugano and Zach Eflin have taken a nosedive, the latter likely headed for the IL with a lower back strain. Do the Orioles have enough internal pitching to right the ship, or will the reinforcements that are due back in August be too little, too late? Paul and Zach discuss that and more on The Bat Around.
