Episode #28 - Sylviane : le parcours initiatique d'une Chinoise du Cambodge sur 3 continents

A 30 ans, Sylviane insiste auprès de sa mère pour recueillir les détails de sa fuite du Cambodge. A 40 ans, elle effectue avec son père et sa famille un voyage initiatique de retour au Cambodge, voyage qui s'avèrera un véritable choc. 

Sylviane est née en France, a grandi en Alsace et à Paris. Elle est partie travailler au Maroc, puis à la Réunion, où elle a vécu six ans, et la voici maintenant à Singapour. De la "jaune" de l'école, elle était devenue la chinoise de service ; à la Réunion, elle a apprécié le melting-pot, tout comme à Singapour, où elle peut pratiquer son dialecte teochew, tout en étant la française du coin.

Elle nous parle de :

- ses origines multiples (1'-8')

- son voyage initiatique au Cambodge (9'-15')

- l'exil de ses parents (15-20')

- son intégration à Singapour (21-24')
