Episode #15 : Kilian et sa grand-mère, une histoire contemporaine cambodgienne

Dans ce 15e épisode, je reçois Kilian Tep, notre plus jeune invité à ce jour, qui tient à nous raconter l’histoire fascinante de sa grand-mère…

Son récit nous transportera au temps où Phnom Penh était encore ce cocon bourgeois avant que les bombes ne chassent sa famille en Thailande, puis en France où il est né. Il nous dresse le portrait de sa grand-mère, cette femme forte et intelligente, qui a su recréer une vie en France pour sa famille, mais qui s’est ensuite dévouée et est retournée dans les camps de réfugiés en Thailande pour aider les Cambodgiens.

Sur les pas de sa grand-mère qu’il admire, Kilian a étudié à New York dans l’idée ensuite de revenir en Asie et contribuer au développement du Cambodge. Il vit maintenant à Singapour depuis un an et demi, et incarne le renouveau technologique et économique possible du pays de sa grand-mère…
