Vincent On est un Français métisse, à trois-quarts vietnamien, et un-quart espagnol. Il est né en France, grandi en région parisienne. Il a ensuite travaillé quelques années à Boston, puis s’est installé il y a 11 ans à Singapour, où il est marié à une singapourienne.

Mais que faisait donc son grand-père espagnol au Vietnam ? Avez-vous déjà entendu parler des soldats blancs d’Ho Chi Minh ?

Lorsqu’on est métisse, est-on mieux assimilé dans l’une ou l’autre culture d’appartenance ? Ou reste-t-on toujours l’étranger ? Depuis Singapour, comment voit-il le Vietnam et quelle relation entretient-il avec ce pays ?

Nous parlerons aussi communautarisme et comparerons les modèles américain et français.
