In this episode, Joshua talks with Dr. Alex Fogleman about catechesis in the first centuries of the Christian Church. Dr. Fogleman is Assistant Research Professor of Theology at the institute for studies of religion at Baylor University where he is the Project Manager for the Global Flourishing Study He received a BS in Business Administration from NC State University, an MDiv from Regent College, and a PhD in Historical theology and Patristics from Baylor University He is the author of three books in progress Knowledge, Faith, and Early Christian Initiation; Becoming Christian: Catechesis in History, Theology, and Practice; and The Nature of Human Flourishing: Early Christian and Contemporary Perspectives. Co-authored with Thomas Breedlove. He has also written extensively on Augustine, Gregory of Nyssa, Basil of Caesarea, Tertullian, and Hilary of Poitiers.
