School-to-Prison Pipeline
The Ashe Academy's Inspire. Uplift. Engage. Podcast

School-to-Prison Pipeline

This week we're joined by Taryell Simmons and Rondell Anderson to discuss the School-to-Prison pipeline. We examine the origins, how it impacts students in terms of different demographics. We reflect on what walking into school looked like for some students, families, and educators in different parts of the country and in specific neighborhoods. This is definitely a multi-layered issue but we do find a silver lining at the end that will help make this heavy topic slightly more hopeful in reconciling the various issues at bay. May this conversation spark new ones with your community.
