Artist Interview: Erika Trotzig - The Unmonumental

Today we speak with Erika Trotzig, a London-based artist currently on show at the Torrance Art Museum (TAM) in Torrance, California, for Special Relationships.

Trotzig began in fashion, viewing each individual as a sculpture itself but began creating found-materials sculptures to tell a broader story on failure as a methodology. Through constructing teetering sculptures, Trotzig finds the balance of precarity to be a statement itself against the motto of continual progress.
