#20 He lost his way, then built the "Fellaship" to help men find theirs (with Luke Grant)

“I watched him die in front of me.”

Luke Grant was just nine years old when he witnessed his father - a professional rugby league player - pass away from a heart attack. That moment changed everything. It set Luke on a path marked by grief, pressure, identity loss and, eventually, self-destruction.

After a promising career in rugby league, Luke found himself retired at 22, injured, lost, and spiraling into drugs, partying and purposelessness. But the real story is what came next.

Through heartbreak, hard lessons, and the deaths of men close to him, Luke chose a different path. He built what he wished he had: a space for men to be seen, supported, and held accountable. That space is the Fellaship, a community built on sweat, breathwork, honesty and real brotherhood.

In this episode, we unpack Luke’s story raw, unfiltered and deeply human. We talk about masculinity, the cost of silence, how drinking masks emotional pain, why setting boundaries matters and what it really takes to find your way again.

If you’ve ever felt lost, disconnected or unsure how to show up as a man - this one’s for you.
