D’Arcy Harrison has been a licensed cosmetologist for over 18 years and a self-employed entrepreneur since 2012. In addition to her extensive background in creative & performing arts- D’Arcy is owner of Emerson Salon on Capitol Hill in Seattle where she specializes in haircuts, natural texture, balayage and vivids. D’Arcy believes your hair is an essential component of confident soul expression and approaches client work with acceptance, patience and understanding. She is best known as, “The Vocal Cosmetologist,” due to her impactful grass roots & marketing focus as a leader in the Personal Services trade association “Cosmetologists of Washington United.” D’Arcy’s efforts to protect small business independent contractors in the State Legislature led to Emerson Salon receiving the 2019 “Washington Advance Award” from The Association of Washington Business.
