Host Tyler Bennett is joined by outside hitter Brett Jenkins of the Redeemer Royals Men's Volleyball Program on the latest episode of The All-Canadian Podcast, powered by the All-Canadian Sports Network! After some technical issues and Mother's Day Weekend pushed the episode back a week, Jenkins joins the show to discuss a wide variety of topics surrounding the sport of volleyball and his career at Redeemer University.
Off the top, Bennett discusses the recent news surrounding the Eastern Canadian Basketball League and the cancelation of the remainder of their inaugural 2023 season. Bennett shares his own opinions on the league and where things may have gone wrong while sharing some optimism about the future of the league.
Then, Jenkins joins the show (24:04). Bennett and Jenkins take a look at how Brett first got introduced to the game of volleyball, and what ultimately led to him choosing volleyball over hockey. Jenkins discusses his career at Redeemer University, including how he ultimately ended up in a Royals uniform. The pair also discuss what lies ahead for Jenkins, both in sport and in life, as he begins to navigate life without being a student.
