25 in 25 - Ep. 12 feat. Brandon LeBlanc from Crandall Cross Country, Part One

Brandon LeBlanc from the Crandall Chargers Cross Country Program joins the show for Day Twelve of our '25 in 25' Countdown to Christmas.  This is Part One of the chat with Coach LeBlanc.

Welcome (back) to The All-Canadian Podcast, powered by the All-Canadian Sports Network!

As we count down to Christmas, we are releasing a new podcast episode each day from December 1st to 25th, kind of like an audio advent calendar.  Day Twelve features Part One of the conversation with Brandon LeBlanc, the Head Coach of the Crandall Chargers Cross Country Program.  LeBlanc joins host Tyler Bennett to discuss a wide variety of topics that stretch from his own running career to the Crandall program, how he develops his athletes through LTAD, and more.

In Part One of the conversation, LeBlanc discusses how the Chargers navigated the pandemic to maintain their training while also feeding the competitive side of running through virtual meets.  LeBlanc then describes how he got started in running himself, and how his own experiences in the sport have helped shape who he is now as a coach of high performance runners.  To close the first of two episodes, Bennett and LeBlanc discuss Long Term Athlete Development, and apply that to programs as a whole (LTPD), and Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S).
