Poilievre hosts record-breaking rally in Edmonton
True North was on the ground for what Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre called the biggest political rally in Canadian history. At least 15,000 people packed into an Edmonton warehouse to hear him speak, where he also received an endorsement from former prime minister Stephen Harper. Alberta Premier Danielle Smith flew to Quebec to solidify an autonomy alliance between the two provinces, as both pledge to push back against federal overreach. The Alberta government announced new legislation that could pave the way for a provincial police force as an alternative to the RCMP. And a new poll shows that support for separation would rise in every province if Liberal Leader Mark Carney wins the next federal election on Apr. 28.
