EP 5 : Talking Science Research, Writing, Cape Town and African youth experiences with Dr Yvonne Maphosa

To those who are on the lookout for contemporary stories portraying the experiences of African youth in the present times, Yvonne Maphosa writes with a precision like no other on these issues. I sat down and caught up with her on a broad set of topics - enjoy! Yvonne Maphosa is an author, researcher, and all-around creative force whose books—like The Y in Your Man is Silent—are as juicy as they are thought-provoking. From the dusty plains of Mangwe District in Zimbabwe to the intellectual hub of Cape Town, Yvonne’s journey is anything but ordinary. She’s a PhD holder, a patent holder, and an author whose stories challenge societal norms, tackle complex relationships, and, yes, sprinkle in a little bit of scandal.
