The Absurd Window

Late Night. Sitting in a dimly-lit room. Typing away. My laptop screen glowing on my face. Lo-fi music humming in my ears. Keeping me focused. Pause. I look up through the window in front of me. In the distance, I see another lonely window. The only lit one in its building. Represents a story. Sonder. Every single light in the night has a purpose. There may just be another 20-year-old staring out into the city. With some dream, or some pain that keeps them up at night. Whatever it is, I hope they figure it out.

Ravichandran Ashwin, Alternative Productivity & was your childhood diet affected by cartoons? w/ Tushar Jalan

It took me 5 hours to edit this episode because of Tushar's weird audio recording. In a dramatic change of themes from the previous two episodes, this one brings with it self-awareness about this podcast to presenting problematic views on capsicum. From how someone's life is affected by following sports to understanding the complications that come with the definition of productivity, Tushar shines through with an equally indifferent and analytical approach to explaining his views. Even though, I think I did a stellar job at explaining the terms "Mankad Incident" and "Night Watchman", Tushar evidently knows a lot more. My favourite thing about this episode is how chaotic it got towards the end where impulsive thoughts flew out in speech, which shows me that the conversations we are having are not only getting more candid but more comfortable. Recently, Vedant confused a conversation we had on the podcast with one that we had in real life, and maybe that is proof of this podcast's well-destined trajectory.

Looking forward to your feedback,

Warmly,

Keshav
