Chuck Chamberlain - A New Way of Seeing The World | AA Speaker Audio

Chuck Chamberlain is still, to this day, a giant in the world of Alcoholics Anonymous and this famous talk of his demonstrates why. Give it a listen and let us know what you think!

About Chuck C.

Chuck Chamberlain was born in Indiana and moved to Los Angeles at the age of 19. Before entering the recovery community, he built a successful career in real estate and supermarket development. In 1956, he purchased City Refrigerator Inc., a business he operated with his son for 14 years.

Chuck got sober in January 1946 and went on to become a resident of Laguna Beach for 26 years before retiring in 1970. He was among the earliest circuit speakers in recovery, pioneering multi-day talks that would later inspire countless others.

His influence on the recovery community remains profound even decades after his passing. Chuck sponsored Clancy Imislund and deeply impacted figures like Sandy Beach and many others.

Chuck Chamberlain passed away from emphysema in 1984. His ashes were scattered at sea following cremation. His timeless book, A New Pair of Glasses, originated from a series of talks he gave at a retreat—recorded and later transcribed by Clancy Imislund. The book continues to be available online and remains a cornerstone in recovery literature.
