The A-Trane Radio Program CFRO
Nou Dadoun
15 episodes
Jazz and creative music from all eras and styles curated by Nou Dadoun.  Focusing on new releases, birthdays and significant musical calendar events, and performances & releases relevant to the musical community in Vancouver, Canada and the World!
The music has roots in Black experience so every month is Black History Month.  Women are important contributors and participants in this music so every day is Women in Jazz Day.
We celebrate music that has the joy of creation, that knows where its been and (often) tries to see where it's going.
The A-Trane has been on the airwaves on community radio in Vancouver since 1982 and the current host has been in the broadcaster's chair since 1986.  Every show starts with a different version of our theme "Take the A Train" relevant to the date or Vancouver performances and then continues with a piece performed or inspired by John Coltrane.
Always engaging, sometimes challenging, never boring - the best in Jazz & Creative music!
