We had Glory from the Football Heritage podcast on the show this week. Liverpool have just been crowned champions of England again, and everyone says nobody cares. At the same time, they’ve broken the record for the most social media engagement. Glory says they even hired a data analyst just for that.
We asked him about the Arsenal jersey on the wall, even though he’s a Chelsea fan. He had a solid reason, but we still had to bring it up. Then we looked at the Champions League race. Arsenal’s loss at home to Bournemouth has dragged them back into the fight, and now there are only four spots left with six teams going for it. Glory and Magnus looked at the remaining fixtures for City, Newcastle, Chelsea, Forest, and Villa and gave their verdicts on who makes it. UCL nights or nothing.
We didn’t forget the Conference League either. That last European spot could go to any of Bournemouth, Fulham, Brighton, or Brentford. You probably know where Magnus stands already, but Glory had his own take. You'll hear this in the audio version. To wrap up, we looked at this year’s European competitions and picked which winners would suit our personal agendas best. A much-needed link-up for the 97 community. Lock in.
