Chris Perkins. Wizards of the Coast reports that after 28 years with the company, Lead Creative Designer and Acquisitions Incorporated DM Chris Perkins announced his retirement.
Piranha Plant Camera. The Verge reports that Hori is launching a Piranha Plant camera for the Switch 2. Technical specs are currently unavailable, but the mouth can open and close as a privacy function.
Stardew Valley. IGN reports that Wizards of the Coast issued a DMCA takedown for the popular Baldur’s Village mod, then later apologized and claimed the takedown request was issued mistakenly. Of note, Larian CEO Swen Vincke is a fan and supporter of the mod.
Switch 2. Nintendo showcased another Nintendo Direct this week. This time, it focused on the Switch 2 and games launching on it.
Tariffs. IGN reports that due to market instability and tariffs, Nintendo has delayed preorders of the Switch 2 in the US. No date has been given yet for when it’s rescheduled, and the US may see a price hike as well.
