Welcome to our seventh episode of our third season! Different from our usual format, we’re giving you a fun but educated lecture on creating characters of color from a writing and drawing standpoint in animation. Animation is no stranger to POC-centered stories, however, more work needs to be done in order to create and improve on authentic narratives for all marginalized communities. This ever evolving discussion on representation, specifically race and culture, in animation cannot be spoken upon without the tools to start off with, so think of it as a guide!
