Rhett began serving at First Baptist Church Travelers Rest in July 2022. Rev. Burns has also served as an associate pastor Rhett served as an associate pastor at Mountain Creek Baptist Church. Rhett served as a missionary in Turkey before serving in pastoral roles in the states. Rev. Burns is a two-time graduate of North Greenville. Rhett also holds a MDiv from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
