On today’s episode, I interview collegiate distance runner and certified yoga instructor Grace all about her journey with overcoming underfueling, HA, and injury, and how she found the benefit of yoga to improve her running and life. Grace experienced early success in running and runs competitively in college. She had to take off one year to recover from underfueling and her injury, where she learned a great deal about the sport, herself, her values, and her life. She shares her story to inspire others and show that you can be resilient when faced with setbacks in the sport, and she shares so much wisdom. We talk about how easily runners can fall into the trap of underfueling, especially with the culture of the sport. We highlight the important of remembering who you once were, who you are now, what you value, and who you want to become. Finally, we discuss the benefits of yoga for runners, life, and mental health, and her journey of becoming a certified yoga instructor.
