Welcome to That NICU Mum, a podcast where we share stories of New Zealand parents who have had a baby in a neonatal unit across the country.
As we are in the holiday season, we have dropped down to one episode a week - Saturdays. We will pick back up to two episodes from February 2024!
Today we speak with Shannon, who's son Grayson was born at 33 weeks due to what they call a silent placental abruption, which is very scary and very dangerous.
Shannon is super open and honest and talks a lot about her experiences, feelings and her journey with Grayson but in particularly about her mental health.
A huge thank you to Shannon for sharing her experiences with us - it's not an easy thing to do!
Enjoy,
Shan x x
P.s if you hear Angus in this episode - ignore him! hahaha
