The biggest and most successful film of the time, Ben-Hur is still considered one of the great religious epic movies. However, it is also a film that has become noteworthy for another reason. A gay reason.
In this episode, I'll be looking at the relationship between Judah Ben-Hur and his friend turned enemy Messala, the film's interesting production history, and also how audiences have interacted with it, both at the time of its release and more recently.
