Born in 1939, Jerry grew up in Canada where at an early age, he began experimenting with electronics. Throughout grade school and into high school, Jerry had an engineering mind set where he would take things apart just to see how they'd work and put them back together. In the 1970's he created a device that is essentially in every household around the world, the Smart Thermostat.
