Also known as ‘Dr Xynisteri’, he is an expert on Cypriot wine, with a strong focus on the indigenous Xynisteri and Maratheftiko varieties. He introduced these drought resistant grapevines to Australia, in particular in South Australia, and the rest is history! From the foothills of Troodos in Limassol to the plains of Down Under, he is leading the way for the future of Australian wine, and taking the famous Cypriot variety to the global stage. Great to discuss the richness of the Cypriot cultural heritage in its cusine and produce.
