Where are you really from?-- The BAME Game

What does "where are you really from," really mean?
How do we negotiate identity within White spaces?
Why are most of the Black Women on Netflix light-skinned?

In this interview, I have the pleasure of speaking with History/Sociology teacher--and my long-time friend--Bren Pereira, as we sit down to discuss: Bren's experience as an Asian teacher in a predominantly White environment; the struggles of teaching during the pandemic; anti-blackness within the Asian community; and the usefulness of BAME.
