How to deal with your anger!

How do you know if you have an anger problem?

Look out for the following patterns of behavior

Becoming especially angry or violent when consuming alcohol. Struggling to compromise or arrive easily at mutual agreements without getting angry. Problems with expressing emotions in a calm and healthy way. Ignoring people or refusing to speak to them.

You may have anger issues if:

  • you feel angry often.
  • you feel that your anger seems out of control.
  • your anger is impacting your relationships.
  • your anger is hurting others.
  • your anger causes you to say or do things you regret.
  • you're verbally or physically abusive.

 10 anger management tips:

  1. Think before you speak.
  2. Once you're calm, express your anger
  3. Get some exercise.
  4. Take a timeout.
  5. Identify possible solutions.
  6. Stick with 'I' statements.
  7. Don't hold a grudge.
  8. Use humor to release tension.
  9. Count down. Count down (or up) to 10. ...
  10. Take a breather. Your breathing becomes shallower and speeds up as you grow angry. ...
  11. Go walk around. Exercise can help calm your nerves and reduce anger. ...
