New study further validates cognitive benefits of BrainHQ app

Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.  A new study, led by researchers at McGill University in Montreal has found that BrainHQ from Posit Science may boost production of a brain chemical that assists with cognition.   It isn’t the first scientific study to show that the brain training app can benefit users.   But, speaking on the What’s Next Living Longer Better Smarter podcast, CEO Dr. Henry Mahncke said the research showing the acetylcholine boost can be very significant…

“And this is a neurochemical in your brain that’s released every time you’re paying attention.   And it’s essential for attention, it’s essential for learning and memory and it’s also one of the first signs of going onto dementia is that the acetylcholine production in your brain starts to decline.”

There was also news about a new blood test that can give early indications of cognitive decline.   More about that coming up.

You can find us at Techstination.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
