In the first episode of Tech Talks, Ed is joined by Peyman Momeni, CEO and Founder of Fairblock, to dive into the rapidly evolving world of confidential computing in crypto. The conversation explores how technologies like MPC (Multi-Party Computation), ZKPs (Zero-Knowledge Proofs), FHE (Fully Homomorphic Encryption), and TEEs (Trusted Execution Environments) are powering real-world applications, from confidential stablecoins and sealed-bid auctions to dark pools and private AI. Peyman offers practical insights into how these tools work, when to use them, and what’s next for privacy in decentralised systems.
Peyman brings a wealth of experience from the intersection of machine learning and privacy-preserving technology. During his time at the University of Waterloo, he focused on MEV (Miner Extractable Value) and onchain encryption, work that laid the foundation for his move into crypto. Now, as the founder of Fairblock, he's leading the charge in building incorruptible, confidential systems designed to bring privacy and trust to decentralised markets.
