72 – Any Mummers Allowed In? (Newfoundland and Labrador w/ Gina Gill)

Join returning cohost Sarah Wright and Melody Starkweather with the ever clever, funny and lovely real-life Newfoundlander Gina Gill as they venture onto the Rock. We cover all kinds (best kind!) - Newfoundland and Labrador accents, culture, heritage, literature, food, music, art, anxieties and true island love. Gina also tells us about her online Newfoundland culture magazine, Tint of Ink. Check it out!

As promised, here are Gina's recommendations for contemporary Newfoundland and Labrador authors: Michael Crummy, Lisa Moore, Wayne Johnston, Michael Winter, Eva Crocker, Donna Morrissey, Joel Hynes, Mark Critch and Megan Coles.

Note from Melody: as I am the host and "audio engineer" of this show, I was so focused on making Sarah and Gina sound good, I neglected to properly monitor my own levels. Sorry! Fixed it as best I could, but I am admittedly a little rusty after my big long hiatus. That being said, if you all contribute to the show's Patreon, maybe I could afford a real audio engineer!? Can't blame a girl for trying, anyway! ;)
