Theatre can be either the most supportive, nurturing, collaborative space, or it can be a hierarchy, riddled with insecurity, bullying, and cliques. In this episode, I review my process for bringing students into the decision making process and how I narrow down my choices from an endless stream of amazing shows to a select 5! This method helps to create a feeling of equality and "buy-in" from students that keep them committed year after year! It also emphasizes the importance of production and tech students, so it's not all about your actors and the sense of overall community is the focus! Want more on this after?
