Episode 016 - Backyard BBQ (w/ Casey Kills Jobs)
DJ Amen Ra takes us to a backyard-BBQ, underneath picturesque sunny clouds, with an unofficial-officially-themed podcast; featuring some of hip-hop’s fallen greats on top of some legendary, nostalgic tracks. The cliché, “they just don’t make them like they used to” is the subliminal, musical thesis for your next hour of audio enjoyment.
We remember Phife by taking a trip down memory lane to the time we each popped our Tribe-cherry. TB&P babies are dropping (pun? If so, gross!)! A brief, intellectual breakdown of the direction toilet water spins based on your location on earth; which leads into another short, segment, of brain-food, on the verb-usage in our history textbooks.
Casey Kills Jobs joins us to discuss our upcoming trip to Los Angeles for the 2016 Indie Series Awards. Walk of Shame is nominated for three awards – Best Supporting Actor (James “Prince” Coley), Best Supporting Actress (Stephanie Ray Glass), and Best Soundtrack.
