Renowned economist Prof. Leo Leiderman is our featured guest in this new episode of TAU Unbound. He is currently teaching at the Coller School of Management and the Berglas School of Economics at Tel Aviv University. He is also the Chief Economic Advisor of Bank Hapoalim. In the past, Leiderman was Managing Director and Head of Emerging Market Economics in Deutsche Bank at Wall Street. Prof. Leiderman held the positions of Senior Director and Head of the Research Department at the Bank of Israel. In that capacity, he was deeply involved in the process of Israel's adoption of an inflation targeting regime as well as on the central bank's efforts to lower inflation to single digits by the end of the 1990s. Born in Argentina, Leonardo (Leo) Leiderman earned his degrees from the Hebrew University in Israel and the University of Chicago where he was mentored by the legendary Prof. Robert E. Lucas Jr. who won the Nobel Prize in 1995. Leiderman was also Chairman of Tel Aviv University's School of Economics in the late 1980s
