Racist Tweets Defended by the Right? | Tarot Brief
The Young Republican National Federation is in hot water after a leaked group chat revealed messages so ugly, they barely seem real, racial slurs, degrading holocaust references, and a level of casual hate that should stop anyone in their tracks.
But this episode isn’t about the filth they said. It’s about the people defending it. The ones calling it “a joke,” “taken out of context,” or “kids being kids.” ( these are grown adults, knowing good and well what they are saying, BTW) Why do people rush to protect the indefensible? What energy drives someone to excuse what they know is wrong? Remember, for entertainment purposes only. Also, the YRNF came out and issued a statement condemning the members that did this and asking them to resign, at least there is that.
In this Tarot Brief, we look at the deeper patterns behind denial, loyalty, and the need to belong, and how easily those instincts can turn into moral blindness.
Tarot Brief – because sometimes the news just isn’t enough.
