33. Growing Up in the United States: Our Asian American Stories

The massive spike in anti-Asian hate crimes has prompted intense fear, anger, sadness, and frustration within the Asian and Asian American community. Today, I invited Kiersten and Krystal onto the show to talk about our Asian American experiences. We discussed the "model minority" myth, microaggressions, Asian representation in entertainment and media, our families' path to the US, and so much more. This was a very important episode to record as our stories are seldom taught in history books. To the AAPI community - lets continue to share our experiences, amplify our voices, and take action towards change.
