Faith and Hope (ft. Joan Farley)

Fellow TCK, Joan joins us as she talks about growing up in the same generation as author of TCK bible, Ruth Van Reken, without the term "TCK" Joan was born in West Papua, Indonesia, when it was known as Dutch New Guinea. She lived there until she was 11 when her family was evicted from the country. After a year in the U.S., her family was reassigned to Trinidad. And she went to a boarding school on the western side of Venezuela. She and her family returned to the Chicago area of the U.S. before her junior year of high school. She stayed in the U.S. from her junior year until after college.

Since then, she has lived in four other countries - Mexico, Guatemala, the Philippines, and Canada. Right now, she and her husband make their home in Georgia, USA, but spend much of each year traveling to teach in other countries. ----------------
