Walshe is a Norbertine priest of St. Michael's Abbey in California where he is also a professor of philosophy and dean of studies in their seminary program. He received a licentiate in philosophy from the Catholic University of America and completed his doctorate in philosophy at the Angelicum. About the Center for Thomistic Studies: The Center for Thomistic Studies, located at the University of St. Thomas in Houston, TX, is the only graduate program in the United States uniquely dedicated to the thought of St. Thomas Aquinas. This lecture was given on February 17, 2023 at the Center for Thomistic Studies, at the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas. About the Speaker: Fr. Stephen Brock of the Prelature of Opus Dei completed his undergraduate at the University of Chicago in 1979, studied in the 1980's at the Center for Medieval Studies of the University of Toronto, completing a Ph.D. in Medieval Studies. In 1992 he received a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross (Santa Croce). He has been ordinary professor at Santa Croce since 2006 and a visiting professor at the University of Chicago since 2017 and he is an ordinary member of the Pontifical Academy of St. Thomas Aquinas.
