Most Forest fans could only see defeat happening at St James’ Park today and most fans, as it turns out, were right. Yes, it was a better first half from the men in Red and the system change seemed to work whilst the commitment and endeavour was promising. But when you’re not really laying a glove on your opponents goal and then come off second best for pretty much all of the second 45 minutes, the writing is well and truly on the wall. In the end a 2-0 defeat might be viewed as kind given some of the saves Matz Sels made from a plethora of Newcastle chances. Under Ange it’s now, played seven, drawn two, lost five and yes… won none. “It's a struggle, it’s a fight” – these were Ange’s words after the match ended but the question now on everyone’s lips is – will he be given more time to turn it around?
