What is meant by radio licensing to obtain an Airside Vehicle Operators Permit (AVOP)?
The Airside Vehicle Operators Permit, (AVOP), is a radio certification/license that is required by all operators of vehicles while driving on the maneuvering area at a controlled Airfield, and speaking to Air Traffic Control to obtain permission to do so. This Podcast seeks to briefly introduce this requirement and what it entails.
