Forcing Canadian companies to respect human rights

Dwyer is the policy director at the Canadian Network on Corporate Accountability (CNCA), and Gilchirst-Blackwood is its network coordinator. The CNCA is a broad network of Canadian civil society organizations – including labour, human rights, faith-based, and environmental organizations of a wide range of kinds and sizes from across the country – that are working to ensure that Canadian companies respect human rights and the environment when working abroad. They talk about the network's origins and about its past and present campaigns, including current efforts to get the federal government to pass human rights and environmental due diligence legislation.
