Special Episode | The Resilience of Democracies in the face of (de)globalization and radical populism | Conversations on Democracy | Talking Diplomacy

We invite you to join us for the second out of three Conversations on Democracy, that were recorded during the high-level Future of Democracy forum, which was held in Vilnius on November 19-20, 2021. In this episode, Linas Kojala, Director of Eastern Europe Science Centre, is interviewing Dr Anton Shekhovtsov and Christopher Walker, and asking them how resilient are democracies in the face of (de)globalization and radical populism.

What do we need to do to increase resilience of democratic institutions? How not to avoid a situation when authoritarian regimes and their supposed “effectiveness” in crisis are legitimised? What are the lessons from recent developments in the US and other countries?

To answer these and other questions - please tune in to this special episode of Talking Diplomacy!
