Back from the Wild: Sixteen Days in Pursuit of Stone’s Sheep with Rebecca Peters and Hana Erikson
Back from the Wild: Sixteen Days in Pursuit of Stone’s SheepWe sit down with Hana and Rebecca as they return to everyday life after sixteen days in the deep wild chasing Stone’s Sheep. These two adventurers kicked off sheep season with a fly-in hunt, spending two weeks in pursuit of Rebecca’s very first ram. Hana, an experienced sheep hunter, took on the role of mentor, guiding Rebecca through her first true off-the-grid mountain hunt. From the highs of breathtaking moments to the lows that test grit and resolve, both women share raw stories and reflections from the mountains.Rebecca, fresh off this life-changing experience, is determined to leave the “Less Than One” club behind, while Hana provides the seasoned perspective of someone who’s been there before. Together, they offer a unique lens on the hunt—one from the excitement of a first-timer, and one from the steady knowledge of experience. We also dive into the incredible momentum of Women Shaping Conservation. Rebecca, as Chair, and Hana, as a volunteer, update us on their successful initiatives like Elevate and Aim for Impact, while offering a glimpse into exciting plans for 2026.Presented by: SITKA Gear Supported by: Frontiersmen Gear, Gunwerks, OnX Maps, Precision Optics, Schnee’s, Stone Glacier, Wild TV, YETI, and Zeiss.
